At PDRdesigns, we listen to our clients and ask questions about Why they need the project, How they intend to use the spaces and what their goals are, in order to ascertain how we should put together the design package. Each design is tailored to the client’s wants, needs and budget. Many times we have heard our clients say, “I never thought about doing it that way!” Our job is to think of all the possibilities and look at a problem from a different perspective.
At this point we input the sketches into our computer program and bring it to life in 3D models! Materials and mechanical systems will be discussed and we will make final adjustments here before presenting it to you in Virtual Reality! These drawings will be approved by the owner before moving forward with the Construction Documents. This is the time we like to identify consultants to include on the project team. We believe the best projects are the result of the combined efforts of the Client, Architect, Designers, and Contractors and we will assist you in putting together this team.
These are the detailed documents that contain the structure, code information, notes and details for permits to be obtained by the General Contractor. We coordinate with the site, structural and if needed, mechanical engineers to complete their drawings in this phase. All jurisdictions require a code compliant set of documents to issue a building permit and we work with your contractor to obtain your permits.
We at PDR Designs are all well versed in the construction process, materials and methods and stay involved with you during the construction phase. We are available for questions, requests to change items, conflict resolution, site walkthrough or anything else that arises. We are your trusted advisor and will guide you and the contractor as needed.
